2022
Vermentino

Yolo County

We personally hand picked, manually crushed these grapes then fermented on with the skins for 6 days. This is often called an 'orange wine' due to the darker color. The technique is used to created a rich, full bodied wines. Ours has bold fruit and soft tannins. The aromatics are of the tropics: lush coconut coupled with banana. This is a very unique version of a Vermentino. It's limited production makes it a Conspiracy Club only wine.

Tasting Notes

2024-03-30

Back when we first bottled this wine, I was amazed at how interesting and different it was. It tasted more like a tropical fruit drink than a wine. Since then, the wine has undergone 'bottle shock' and has been a pale shadow of its former self. That is quickly changing! When first opened, this wine was still closed with muted flavors. Within minutes, it was opening and those tropical fruits were coming through!
