Conspiracy is our annual red blend that is intended to be something radically different and 'uniquely us'. For 2022, we feature Aglianico, which is a robust red grape from southern Italy, combined with the zestiness of a Zinfandel. We manually crushed the Aglianico to allow some whole clusters to ferment. The inclusion of whole clusters elevates the wine into a fruitier expression while the inclusion of some stems adds complexity and enhances the body. The addition of a spicy Zin adds even more complexity, fruit and balance.

Tasting Notes

We tasted this wine prior to releasing it in August. We knew it had a lot of potential then. Oh what a month can do! The aromatics on this wine are super interesting and very exotic. I can't quite decide if it is mango or passion fruit, but definitely exotic. The flavors live up to the nose. It's exotic, rich and super interesting. I have to say that it's one of my favorite wines we've made and it will only get better with a little age.
